What an affiliate link is
An affiliate link is a referral link that pays a commission to the referrer if the visitor signs up or purchases. We use them only for products and services we believe genuinely benefit our audience (e.g. hosting, VPNs, security tools, network hardware).
How we choose partners
- The product solves a real problem for the visitor on that page.
- Our editorial team has reviewed the product's reputation and reliability.
- The partner has clear pricing and reasonable cancellation terms.
- We do not partner with brands whose primary tactic is dark patterns.
Where affiliate links appear
- Contextually after tool results (e.g. an uptime tool surfacing reputable monitoring services).
- Within educational resources where a specific product solves the problem being discussed.
- On dedicated comparison pages.
Affiliate offers never appear inside active diagnostic workflows or on dashboard, billing, or account pages.
Editorial independence
Commission rates do not influence what we recommend. We do not write fake reviews. If a competing product is better, we say so even if it pays less (or zero) in commission. Educational content is not shaped by sponsors.
Paid users see no affiliate placements
Pro and Business subscriptions suppress all affiliate placements automatically.
