Privacy policy

Most of what TechUtilityTools does runs entirely in your browser. This policy explains the small amount of information we do collect, why, and what your rights are.

What we collect

  • Test result metrics — anonymized numbers (latency, throughput, status codes) used to render your results.
  • Account data if you sign up — email address and authentication identifiers only.
  • Saved history if you sign in — your test results, monitor configurations, and saved workflows.
  • Analytics — first-party page-view and event data used to improve the product.
  • Server logs — IP address, user agent, and request path for security and abuse prevention. Retained for 30 days.

What we do not collect

  • The content of pages you visit or APIs you test (only timing and status).
  • Third-party tracking pixels (no Facebook pixel, no advertiser ID brokers).
  • Behavioral profiles or cross-site tracking identifiers.

How we use data

  • Render your test results.
  • Power your account (history, monitors, dashboards).
  • Improve product reliability and usability (aggregate analytics).
  • Prevent abuse and respond to security incidents.

Who can see your data

Only you (when signed in) and our infrastructure providers (used for hosting, authentication, payments, and analytics). We do not sell data. We disclose data only when required by law or to prevent active abuse of our service.

Cookies

We use cookies for authentication and preference state. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. Ads on our site are served via Google AdSense; AdSense uses its own cookies under Google's policies — see our cookie policy and advertising disclosure.

Your rights

You can request export or deletion of your account data by contacting us. EU/UK and California residents have additional rights under GDPR and CCPA — we honor those requests.

Children

TechUtilityTools is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
